Minutes of the KPARC Meeting of June 7, 2010

The meeting was called to order by President Dick Bishop at 2:00 p.m. in the Main Clubhouse Craft Room. The following officers were present: President Dick Bishop, Vice President Joe White, Secretary Sam Brandes, and Treasurer Bill Love.

The meeting opened with President Dick Bishop welcoming all members and guests.

Treasurer’s Report

Bill Love reported a balance as of May 31, 2010 is $5726.10

Secretary and Newsletter Report

Newsletter is published on KPARC website with membership emailed notice.

Vice Presidents Report

Battery collection and disposal program going good.

Activities

Club Room monitor program is suspended until the fall.

Club Room Work Day (Tuesday afternoons) will continue. Volunteers needed.

SGC 500 Linear work is complete

HF “Go Kit” is proceeding

The club Winmor Station is working on HF. The VHF Packlink Station has an audio problem, but will be working soon.

Club Field Trip

The June 18 field trip to the Tampa Reverse Osmosis Water plant is filled. Tour members will meet at Beall’s Parking Lot at 8:45. Thank you Dotty for all your work.

Program

President Dick Bishop introduced our guest speaker Neil LAURITSEN W4NHL who presented a very interesting program on Military Affiliated Radio Service (MARS) its operation in the Haiti Earthquake disaster.

The meeting adjourned at 3:15 p.m.
