1. Safety Officer appointment Action: Joe will contact Martin.
    1. Alternate also
  2. We need a list of members willing to do this task. Action: Keith will draft email to members.
  3. The generator carburetor needs to be serviced.
    1. Gen. is in for carb. Adjustment 8/29/19 Done. John will look to see if an electric start option exists for the generator.
  4. Starter fluid should be included with the generator deployment package. (Where should that fluid be stored?) No (per John). Deleted.
    1. I suggest we mount it on the Gen. so it is always available . Ie. PVC. drop in cup also provide an easy access port to the air intake.
  5. A fire extinguisher be part of the generator deployment package Action: Dick will contact Rysavy
    1. Be sure the extinguisher is proper class. And at a safe distance when handling fuels.
    2. Type B type FIRE EXTINGUISHER should be used for propane fires if needed when conducting emergencies at the shack during the next testing.
  6. The shore power connection hardware should be improved/replaced. Connect and disconnect was much too difficult to accomplish on a good day, much less in adverse conditions.
    1. Post a drawing of the terminals on the face of the terminal box. Action: schedule connector test.
  7. The number of propane tanks / gallons of gasoline were not specified and should be predetermined, obtained and positioned based on anticipated load and duration expectations.
    1. Generate a table of minimum required fuel on hand, consumption rates, available sources, storage procedures. Action: compare Yamaha Gen Fuel Calc spreadsheet to actual during test.
  8. No discussion occurred concerning grounding of the generator. This is a potential safety concern, particularly during heavy wet weather conditions. Action: use romex (KI5US) and hose clamps (club)
    1. A ground rod is already in ground near terminal box. A proper cable and clamp should be kept with the yellow power cable.
  9. Recommend that emergency LED lighting be added to the plug strips under each operating location. Action: purchase is approved/purchase items. (KI5US)
    1. Discuss battery power vs 110vAC, under counter vs portable desk lamps or both.
  10. Recommend that plug strip cables be conspicuously labeled to minimize confusion during stressful conditions. Action: open / KI5US
    1. Laminate labels and place near the wall plug end of the cables.
  11. Recommend that flat power extension cord covers be used in the ops are to minimize trip hazards. Action: open / KI5US
    1. These are available, but consider storage deployment effort vs. overhead and over door cable runs.
  12. The location of the generator should be reviewed based on the probability of flooding due to heavy rain. Action: reassess at June 2020 test.
    1. Gen. can be placed on a riser, but vibration walking is a concern.
  13. Recommend that the generator be covered by a suitable, wind-resistant, water-proof cover to prevent premature generator failure. Action: defer this decision to post-test.
    1. A rain cover, ie. plastic tub should be obtained, And tried for fit. Tie downs should be provided.
  14. The feasibility of a remote generator stop should be considered for safety reasons.Action: defer this decision to post-test.
    1. An extension for the on board stop switch can be run into the club room through the power passthrough port.
  15. The feasibility of a remote generator stop should be considered for safety reasons. Action: defer this decision to post-test.
    1. An extension for the on board stop switch can be run into the club room through the power passthrough port.
