Welcome to our Field Day photo gallery! Each year, the Kings Point Amateur Radio Club joins thousands of ham radio operators across the country for ARRL Field Day—a fun, hands-on event that brings together learning, community, and a little bit of friendly competition. It’s part emergency preparedness drill, part public outreach, and part celebration of the hobby we love.
For our members, Field Day is one of the highlights of the year. It’s a chance to roll up our sleeves, set up antennas and radios in outdoor conditions, and show just how quickly amateur radio can get on the air when it counts. But it’s also about teamwork and camaraderie. From the early morning setup crews, to operators making contacts late into the night, to members sharing food, laughs, and stories in between, Field Day is as much about people as it is about radios.
We take pride in knowing that what we do at Field Day isn’t just practice—it’s preparation. Amateur radio has a long tradition of being there when normal communication systems fail, and events like Field Day keep our skills sharp and our equipment ready. At the same time, it gives us an opportunity to welcome visitors, answer questions, and spark interest in ham radio among newcomers.
These galleries capture some of the energy, dedication, and fun that make Field Day so special at KPARC. You’ll see our members working side by side, experimenting with equipment, making contacts across the country and beyond, and enjoying the spirit of community that makes amateur radio unique.
We invite you to browse through these moments, share in our experience, and maybe even imagine yourself behind the mic or helping hoist an antenna at our next Field Day. Who knows—you just might catch the ham radio bug!
