Workshops

Welcome to the Kings Point Amateur Radio Club Workshops, a dedicated learning center created to support members in every phase of their amateur radio journey. This new section of the KPARC website brings together a wide range of practical resources, including detailed how-to documents, configuration guides, technical articles, and step-by-step tutorials designed to help operators build confidence and expand their skills.

Our Workshops cover topics across the entire spectrum of the hobby: from setting up HF, VHF, and UHF stations to optimizing antennas, grounding systems, propagation tools, and power management. Operators interested in modern digital messaging technologies will also find guidance on configuring and using popular digital modes such as PSK, RTTY, FT8, FT4, Olivia, JS8Call, Winlink, VARA, and other keyboard-to-keyboard or data-exchange modes that continue to enhance long-distance communication and emergency messaging capabilities.

Each article is written with clarity, accessibility, and real-world application in mind. Whether you are programming a handheld radio, attaching a new antenna, troubleshooting a station setup, or exploring digital messaging systems for reliable HF and VHF data exchange, this section aims to provide the knowledge needed to achieve consistent, effective results.

The Workshops library will grow steadily as club members, instructors, and technical contributors share new insights, tools, and best practices. Our goal is to create a comprehensive, easy-to-navigate reference that benefits beginners and experienced operators alike.

We invite all KPARC members to explore these resources, learn new techniques, and participate in building one of the most valuable amateur radio knowledge bases in our region.
