Kings Point Amateur Radio Club (KPARC) Joins ARRL Field Day 2025 – Showcasing Emergency Communications and Community Outreach
Sun City Center, FL – June 27, 2025 — The Kings Point Amateur Radio Club (KPARC) is proud to announce its participation in the ARRL Field Day 2025, one of the largest annual amateur radio operating events in North America. The event will take place on June 28–29, 2025, at the Kings Point Clubhouse grounds.
ARRL Field Day is a 24-hour emergency preparedness exercise and public demonstration of ham radio capabilities. It brings together tens of thousands of radio operators across the country in a nationwide effort to practice reliable communications under simulated emergency conditions.
“KPARC’s involvement in Field Day is part of our mission to promote amateur radio, demonstrate our public service capabilities, and engage with the local community,” said Club Vice President Eric Nisenfeld. “We invite residents of Sun City Center and surrounding areas to stop by, learn about ham radio, and see how amateur operators help during disasters when traditional communication systems fail.”
KPARC will operate under emergency power using temporary antennas, demonstrating the vital role of amateur radio in emergency response, community support, and technical education.
The event is free and open to the public between 3PM (15.00) and 6PM (18.00) on Saturday the 28th, with club members on hand to explain equipment, answer questions, and even help visitors get on the air.
