Kings Point Amateur Radio Club Inc. (KPARC) Receives Second Generous Grant from Interfaith Social Action Council
Sun City Center, FL — The Kings Point Amateur Radio Club is delighted to announce that we have been awarded a second grant from the Interfaith Social Action Council in April 2025. We extend our heartfelt thanks for their ongoing support of our mission to provide reliable emergency communications, promote amateur radio education, and serve our community when it matters most.
This latest grant continues the partnership that began with the Council’s generous award in January 2024, which empowered KPARC to successfully complete Phase I of our “Distributed Emergency Power Services Modernization Project.” (KPARC) With this new funding, we are now moving forward into Phase II: further enhancements of our emergency-power distribution infrastructure, redundancy upgrades, and improved training for our volunteer operators.

Because of the Interfaith Social Action Council’s steadfast commitment to community resilience, KPARC will be better equipped than ever to step up during power outages, weather emergencies, and other events that disrupt standard communications. Their faith-based emphasis on serving others aligns beautifully with our belief that “communication knows no limits.”
“We are deeply grateful to the Interfaith Social Action Council for believing in what we do and investing in our ability to serve,” said Joe Flack, President of the Kings Point Amateur Radio Club. “Thanks to this grant, our team will be better positioned to support our neighbors and emergency partners when every second counts.”
KPARC looks forward to reporting on the results of Phase II in the months ahead, and to continued collaboration with the Interfaith Social Action Council. Their partnership helps turn our volunteer energy into real, measurable readiness for our community.
